Low Back Pain

The pain in the lumbar region can range from a dull ache to a stabbing or shooting sensation making it difficult to move or stand up straight. The treatment can include muscle relaxants, narcotic pain medications, back braces and epidural steroid injections.

Cancer Pain

Cancer pain is caused by the growing tumour pressing against the nerves, bones or organs. Several treatment options are available depending on the severity of the pain, including nerve blocks and integrated therapies.

Cervical Spondylosis

This is a condition caused by wear and tear of spinal discs in the neck as a result of dehydrated discs, herniated discs, injury, ligament stiffness or overuse.

Postherpetic Neuralgia

A common complication of shingles, it affects nerve fibers and skin resulting in a burning pain even after the rash and blisters of shingles have gone.

Trigeminal Pain

A result of disruption in the functioning of the trigeminal nerve, it causes extreme pain in the facial area that can be triggered by things as simple as touching the face, chewing, speaking or brushing teeth.

Headache including Migraine

Migraine causes excruciating throbbing pain or a pulsing sensation in the head, along with nausea, vomiting and extreme sensitivity to light and sound.

Pelvic Pain

It occurs in both men and women but with a difference. It may be a symptom of infection or may arise from pain in the pelvic bone or in non-reproductive internal organs, such as the bladder or colon in men, while in women it may indicate a problem with one of the reproductive organs in the pelvic area.

Advanced procedures for pain relief

Medication & Lifestyle Counselling

Medication counselling involves providing vital information, advice and assistance to help patients with medications ensuring they take them as prescribed. Lifestyle counselling helps people make healthy choices and beneficial changes to prevent diseases and disorders.

Radiofrequency Ablation

A minimally invasive procedure that uses heat to destroy the nerve fibres that carry pain signals to the brain, it is used to treat chronic pain in the neck, back, and arthritic joints.

Percutaneous Discectomy

A minimally invasive procedure for treatment of some forms of back and neck pain by removing the herniated disc irritating the nerve, resulting in prompt pain relief.

Intrathecal Pump

It involves injecting a sugar or salt solution into a joint or other part of the body to repair body tissue and treat a range of conditions, such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, some headaches, sprains etc.

Prolotherapy

It involves injecting a sugar or salt solution into a joint or other part of the body to repair body tissue and treat a range of conditions, such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, some headaches, sprains etc.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy seeks to restore, maintain, and make the most of a patient’s mobility, function and well-being through physical rehabilitation, injury prevention, and health and fitness.

Vertebroplasty

The procedure involves injecting bone cement into the backbone or vertebrae that have been damaged or broken due to osteoporosis. The cement hardens, thereby stabilising the fracture and supporting the spine.

Ozone Discectomy

The procedure involves injecting ozone in and around the disc to relieve back, leg or arm pain caused by a herniated or a prolapsed lumbar or cervical disc.

Neurolytic Blocks (Fluoroscopy Guided)

This procedure involves administering a nerve block injection to the nerves, guided by a fluoroscope for greater precision, to achieve long-term pain relief of areas in the torso.

Chemical Sympathectomy

Used to treat ischaemic leg pain, the procedure entails injecting medicinal fluid into the muscles on either side of the spine, which would relax the walls of the arteries and allow more blood flow to the legs, leading to pain relief.

Spinal Cord Stimulation

In this procedure, a device is implanted between the spinal cord and the vertebrae that sends low levels of electricity directly into the spinal cord to relieve pain. It is used to manage various types of pain such as back pain, post-surgical pain, heart pain, injuries to the spinal cord, nerve-related pain etc.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy

This form of therapy uses a concentration of the patient’s platelets to accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints.

Botox Therapy

Botox injections relieve pain by relaxing the muscles and are useful in the treatment of chronic pain in neck and back, muscle spasms, arthritis, nerve pain, migraine and tension headaches.

Injection for Pain Relief

Pain management injections are safe, effective solutions for long-term relief and are used to treat a wide variety of orthopaedic, neurological conditions and injuries. Treatments may include epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks and joint injections.
